Group Vignette Challenge
Here are the details from the challenge text and a few more useful bits of info:
- Each person in the group will commit to making 1 (one) small item in a format of their choosing (needlepoint, quilt, knitting, crochet, etc.!)
- Each person in the group will interpret the group’s theme for their item (for example, if the theme is ‘a night in with your favorite book’ you could weave a mug rug, embroider a bookmark, knit a coffee cup sleeve, the list goes on…
- The annual challenge project should be completed by the May 2026 final meeting of the year
The group chooses:
- Selection of color(s).
- Construction methods. Use one or several techniques such as weave, stitch, felt, crochet, knit, etc.
- Selection of fibers.
Vignette example: Afternoon delight for a bookworm. Create:
- A book cover.
- A bookmark.
- Eyeglass case.
- Etc.
